How many dreams or "somedays" lurk in the deep recesses of your mind, surfacing now and then like a mixture of heartburn and hunger? At my age, I've known too many people set to retire only to be diagnosed as terminal or plan that once-in-a-lifetime trip only to be faced with a financial setback. My point: live for today.
This was my second visit to Paris, and I was determined to visit the Eiffel Tower, toast champagne from its heart-palpitating observation deck, and experience more of the Parisian lifestyle. This was a huge life-list checkmark for me.
